Hot for teacher?? What the fuck is special about either of the songs you just said? Hmmmm Silence followed by a deafening roar The Gargoyle Eudaimonia Overture even songs like Scarified? Way better to me, not for speed either. Eudaimonia Overture isnt even a fast song, it's not like Eddie is some writing god. Seriously, I can not stand Van Halen.

@KellerDude4 And why is Paul better? because he is faster? haha. I don't think the best player is the fastest, but the one who can create things, like songs that will live for ever, such as Hot for teacher, Panama, etc.

He didn't "invent" tapping, NOR fucking pinches and tap harmonics ... Nice fail. And it doesn't matter how much he influenced other guitarists, he is still shitty compared to Paul Gilbert. I don't CARE if he was an influence, he is STILL WORSE, how difficult is that to grasp?

@KellerDude4 Haha, you know EVH invented a lot of technichs including tapping, tapping harmonics, pinch harmonics, he also helped to create the floyd rose. And he completely changed the way people play the guitar, he invented fucking shredding. Don't belive me, PG is a huge fan of Eddie, if it wasnt for EVH he wouldn't even play the guitar ;)

@KellerDude4 Obviously YOU don't know anything about guitar ,when you concentrate on both guitarist licks there actually quite similar in a way.It's kinda like saying that Bach was shit compared to Beethoven.You see shredding would basically be an under ground tool that nobody would really use in modern day music , thanks to Eddie shredding is greatly appreciated among most guitarist .But whoever compares music is fucking mental because music is for enjoyment not to compare.
