@svofski I'm thinking of building a similar machine, but it might take some time =]. Wondering if replacing the USB RS-232 input source with a SD card reader, so that the uC (probably atmega) would translate the G-code to step motor impulses. Also wondering if using a simple 2 gear gearbox would do the trick of making the steps angles smaller. I would also say that I am amazed with your latest Delta robot, that stuff is SOOO IMPRESSIVE, keep on the amazing work.
@dbraven do not replace the serial because it is also very useful for programming and debugging; you can have both USB/RS232 and SD. Gearboxes will work if you can build them or find and equip them. Microstepping controller is easier.
What is the working area of your plotter?

@dbraven it's about A4, slightly larger along the shorter side. I never really tested its extremes :)
