  • It's not a good idea to capture one footage with more than 5 minutes length (continuously). I usually capture videos from 30-120 seconds and edit them, joining them into one file so that it's not boring

  • @quanvantruong

yes i can agree, but this was my first vid, and i was getting the full feel of being there in one take, editing is another chapter that wasent planed :) cheers,,

  • Very striking. Love it!

  • Can you please tell me what settings you use for filming in dark conditions? It looks so muddy when i film in dark conditions!

  • You could love the twin Digic processors in the higher end Canons... you can get photos without interrupting the video with those :) I'm addicted and want one now!

  • Amazing colours! I have an SX1 too. :D

  • Very impressive video and stills

  • @wise87

You always want to be there 30 minuts before Sunrise and or Sunset, this allows you time to adjust the camera settings for diffrent tones/contrast etc,, you can get better tones by changeing the EV or the light adjustment to darker or lighter, or you can use filters,, :)

  • @KingGillyMan I don't notice much the rolling shutter here, maybe things are going a bit too fast to notice. Check it out!

  • @JoeStyle8 ahaaha how ironic!! i just got me the Canon 550d Ti2 3 weeks ago!! :) but i think the video runs better on the SX1 IS than the 550d, the 550d seems not handleing the panning in free hand, like haven shutter lag,, do u know why??? the SX1 is better, and dosent have that problem,,

  • @criticaltinker 12 minutes/4gigs

  • @KingGillyMan i think its the overheating issue and the FAT format of the SD cards that prevents you from recording over 4 gigs or 12 minutes straight. I have hard time recording live events/recitals with just one SX-1. I ended getting the Canon T2i to bounce back and forth with different angles to keep cameras from over-heating.
