Cast Wall Walks are an introductory element which build strength throughout the shoulder girdle in the planche and handstand planes of movement simultaneously . In addition the core strength element to this movement can be quite challenging if you are lacking in this area.

The GB program details and Xtreme Rings which developed much of this athlete's strength are available here:

  • We LOVE the shoulder extension (not to mention many other fine details we've noticed across your boys). How do you get that type of extension so consistently?

  • Correct shoulder extension is achieved through a carefully planned combination of maximal strength, dynamic strength, passive flexibility and active flexibility.

  • Will this be in tomorrow's WOD?

  • Good guess.

  • What is that background tune, I want to listen to the rest???!!!

  • my coach has me do something like these, except instead of on a wall, we use the bucket we use for bucket circles. start in a pushup position, walk back into a handstand where the bucket rests on your feet, then walk back down to a pushup position. rinse/repeat.

  • These look fantastic to add for my shoulder workout and progressions. Thanks very much!

  • the cast wall walks gives my leg a workout to

  • Thanks for these shoulder video's Sommer. Keep them coming, i need more ways to increase the shoulder, it can't be that if you are tall it has to take forever to be able to do a single handstand pushup :-)

  • Hust managed going up and down 5 times each and it was pretty hard near the end... is that weak?
