  • The foundation that produced this Utube is funded with 1 billion dollars by former hedge fund manager and Wall Street financier, Pete Peterson. Mr. Peterson and his paid staff are out of touch with millions of Americans whose lives are better for Social Security, Medicare, and Unemployment Insurance. They have waged a relentless and one sided war against these programs for many years. They consistently fail to inform the public of how the changes they propose would affect hard-working Americans.

  • Just print the money to pay back to the foreign lenders and then we wouldn't owe any foreign countries money. Also, if you want social security you have to spend time in the military, maybe a year or so. We also have to stop prolonging old peoples lives by putting them on machines that keep them alive but don't give them a life or make them a valuable member of society. Those machines are just keeping a vegetable alive. Make sure productive people get medicine to keep them productive though.

  • Agreed, But our education system isn't helping that at all.

  • It's not just the technology but the type. There are many fields that could use human minds to improve our standards of living both technologically and culturally that many people, for many different reasons, cannot aspire and rise to meet the requirements. If we were truly educating scholars and thinkers, and not just nice little cogs for the machine, or cattle, then we would be that much closer to ACTUALLY solving our financial/cultural/behavioral issues.

  • The true problem we have is that technology is slowing eliminating our jobs. We have to learn how to live on this planet in other ways.

  • I see you don't realize how the system works. The entitlement programs are one of our most expensive problems in the USA along with our military. Fifty percent of these programs cost are administration costs. So if we get rid of them we will put thousands of government and state workers out of a job.

Social security actually has plenty of funds for now in it. It is a separate fund from the entitlements programs.

  • perfect metaphor

  • I am delighted to be the first person to see this video. Social Security and Medicaid need to be killed. We have to make some tough choices America.
