maybe one of the ugliest and crappiest stadiums ever... but it was home to my mariners, my childhood team! living in Indiana, I never was able to make it there, and wish I would have. Now that I am grown up, I've been to almost half of the MLB parks now, but would trade it for just one trip to the kingdome.

I was there for an M's playoff game in 1995. The noise from the fans was so loud, it sounded like the whole place was going to collapse. Some players wore earplugs during the games.

Stability reasons, Tiles in the roof were coming loose and repairing it only made matters worse it seems, in 94 a whole chunk of tile fell just 30 mins before a Mariner game that had to be repaired.
It cost Seattle 51M in repairs and 2 men lost their lives in a crane incident, so because of the structural stability both the Seahawks and Mariners began plans to construct stadiums of their own.

My Childhood was in the Kingdome, I went to 10 MLB games in that thing and will never regret it, its not the same feel in Safeco that it was in the Kingdome thats for sure, man if only I could go back 1 last time.
