  • I have a cracked screen. What is everything I would need to buy to replace it, and is there a video on how to put it back together?

  • @Votrov We currently only have the disassembly video. Check out RepairsUniverse (dot) com for a full list of recommended tools and all of our replacement parts for the G2X.

  • So I got my phone repaired by a repair shop around here but there are issues with the digitizer - the lower right corner is very insensitive and the lower left corner sometimes generates a touch on the right side, as if I was touching it. Typing is hell now. The repair shop says "that's simply the way it is with OEM parts". Is that true? Do you know about these issues?

  • @ultranol1983 Not at all. I would say its either a faulty digitizer or the touch screen is coming in contact with the LCD screen, causing the sensors to believe you are touching somewhere you are not. A great way to disprove that claim is that the OEM screen did not do that originally.

  • @RepairsUniverse If I get a refund I'll buy your parts and try to do it by myself. thanks for always being helpful!

  • @ultranol1983 No problem at all. Good luck!

  • @Votrov the repair kit from repairs universe is only the plastic "glass" screen digitizer. The $75 part does not come with the plastic rim, that I found out the plastic "glass" digitizer is glued to in the phone, and it was pretty messy separating the two. After getting the phone back together the plastic "glass" digitizer pretty much is only hanging onto the phone by the ribbon cable that connects to the digitizer. beware.

  • @Votrov Lol you made me laugh. I'm not being mean but really if you love your phone as much as I do to try and get it working again. Simple keep playing everything in the video in reverse! You'll have your phone back up like new!

  • @sudeepr71 Should be simple enough to check. You would only need to follow this video up to about 1:25 or so to gain access to the power button flex. From there you should be able to determine the issues easily.
