Fallout New Vegas Come Fly with Me part 5 of 8 The Basement

In the back of the basement, in the room with the food sign outside it, you'll find a stealth boy on the dining table.

The basement is a short trip from Jason's lab. It is filled with Nightkin, but although you have the option to kill them all, there is a classier way to finish the quest. If you are taking a non-violent path, leave your followers near the exit.

As soon as you can, move left down a hallway until you notice a staircase. To the right should be a closed door. Enter and meet Davison. Don't piss him off about the skull on the desk called Antler.

Davison will ask for your help finding stealth boys stashed in the building, however he correctly warns that the other Nightkin are aggressive.
Depending on how steathily or how many Nightkin you kill, he may turn hostile when you speak with him again, however if you don't kill any, you have nothing to worry about except for messing with Antler.

Davison will direct to Harland, who will ask you to find his friend before you can access the computer terminal he is near.

Harland's friend is in the eastern part of the basement. It involves going down some stairs to reach. Use stealth boys to avoid killing Nightkin.

You may have to kill the jailer (the Nightkin with the incinerator), but when you enter the room he is in. Go to the door farthest on the right and search the desk inside for the jailer's key if you don't want to mess with him.

Find the door further downstairs; using the jailer's key, follow your pip-boy marked to Harland's friend. Search her body and exit to complete the objective.

Report to Harland. When he leaves, approach the door up to his hiding spot, avoiding his bear and hidden mine traps, and use a terminal to learn about the stealth boy delivery.

Report to Davison to clear the basement of mutants.

When you return to Jason, he and his followers will run to basement. Follow them to learn that they need more parts for the rocket.

Chris will instruct you that atomic fuel and a containment module are needed.

You can also tell Chris he is human and be a dick by helping him sabotage the rockets.

Getting what you need is easy. Go to the Dino Gift Shop storeroom and take five model rockets for atomic fuel. The container can be bought from Old Lady Gibson who's home is due north of Novac.

Return to Chris and listen to Jason's speech. Head to the observation balcony through the Jason's old hiding spot upstairs. You can gain some bonus good karma or evil karma by messing with the control panel to right of the launch lever.

Watch the lift off and quest complete.

are the nightkins invisible? where are they? is there a way to see them if they are "invisible"?

If you have ED-E with you, you can see them on your compass or use V.A.T.S to find them. More likely, they will find you and you will notice the visual distortion they create.

why does davidson try to kill when i talk to him about the invoices?

He gets mad if any Nightkin was killed. Even if it's a sneak kill, he won't be happy.

@goodyatheart damnit now I'm going to have to find all of the nightkin and kill them. How many of them are there anyway? I've killed 4 including davidson.

I'm thinking at least 6, the game should tell you when you're done with an objectives update.
