This is the Theremin my brother and I cooked up, it only took about an hour to make and set up, and half of that was dedicated to actually finding a third radio for us to use!
And there's something I forgot to mention in the video:
When setting up the Variable Transmitter, before you clip the alligator clip to the antenna, you need to disconnect the antenna from it's internal receiver... I think that's what you'd call it. Whatever the case, when you've busted open the radio, make sure you disconnect whatever the antenna would be connected to.
ALSO THIS IS IMPORTANT
Do not tune the Variable Transmitter to 1500kHz, I meant to say 1045kHz like the Fixed Transmitter.
And here's the video on how to find the Oscillating Terminal:

I must also mention that not every AM radio has the difference between heterodyne and dial frequencies set to 445 KHz. My radio I use as a transmitter (Kipo KB-AC807) has around 600-700 KHz difference. So the dials setup will completely depend on the chosen radios.

Thanks a lot! Original video didn't mention that variable transmitter antenna musn't be connected to anything so my setup was wrong and didn't work. Now I'll try to resolder the antenna. Thanks again. :)

very well done. quite informative. i am making one right at this moment. having trouble setting the 1500 and 1045 on a dial tuner. thinkin about hitting the local flea market and grabbing some digital tuner radios.U think that would work just as well or would there be yet more interferance? also, you checkd out the drawdio thing? works on the same principle only it fits on any normal pencil. or you can use it on a paint brush with water. very cool. give it a look. keep up the good work! :)

hey, any idea how close these things can be near each other without interference? say if u wanted to make 6 of them (18 radios) and put them in a room?
