Vinyl rip from their 1981 release. This has been reissued on Ryko but that sounds pretty dinky to say the least. TOO much messing w/the damned thing. Almost sounds as if they added unnecessary stuff to it. Took the edge of it. This album always struck me as three guys ... Brian, Jack and Paul... just left loose, live in the studio. Minimal takes and minimal bullshit!
Huh when I got the CD I noticed it didn't blow me away like the LP did but don't have a turntable to compare it to anymore so I figured I was mistaken before.
This was great, thank you for posting this!

Thanks. yeah, huh, that sounds horrible. Glad it wasn't just me as from the opening chords, it just wasn't *right*. Lifeless. They seemed to actually add *stuff* into the mix too. TOTALLY blew all cred RYKO once had as far as I'm concerned. These tracks are minimally screwed with, cleaned everything really good, added silence in between trax, de-clicked, manually extracted big pops and/or skips. This stuff speaks for itself.
