Three Year Old on His New Bike

Here's a video of our 3 yr old riding his new 16" Specialized HotRock. For his second birthday, he got a LikeABike (a balance bike with no pedals) and then he learned to pedal on an old 1950s tricycle. I picked up a junk Huffy for $5 at the flea market and after five minutes he was riding it around like a champ with no help. So, off we went for a real bike.

He has never ridden with training wheels! (If you've got your own kids, be sure to check out these alternatives...honestly, training wheels suck.)

He's in love. First thing in the morning, it's "Here, put my helmet on. I want to ride."

Such a stud! So cute! My 3 year old has done just about the same thing. I got him a PedoBike balance bike at 2.5 & at 3 he rode a used bike I bought on Craigslist, never had training wheels either. Same as your son, wants to ride everyday, all the time! :)
