Some of there outdoor laser beams are more than 20 miles long, with potential of 50 miles. These shows are done with a 8-16 Watt Lasers, that can easily cut trough arm-thick steel. Most people might think of photoshop when the see it, so check out the videos on that page: http://www.lasermacher.de/videos

This Laser going from the top of the German "Augsburg Sparkasse" to the "Augsburg Bismarkturm - Bismarktower" over 20 miles. You see on connection to the "Augsburg Hotelturm Hoteltower" but the long connection going out to the right to the Bismarktower. Lichtkunst + Lightart from Germany.

Oliver Bienkowski (* [[March 4th]] [[1982]] in [[Kassel (Hessen)|Deutschland]]) is a [[light - artist]] and [[IT-security expert - Data Protection Supervisor]] entrepreneur, who is noted in particular for his laser installations. ( Brandenburg Gate Quadriga, Allgäu-lasernet-mountain peak, Bismarktowers, churches ).

  • wait if these are done with 8 to 16 watt lasers and you also say they can cut through steel. then how come 200 watt laser pointers only burn a little hole in small things?

  • @sasquatch539 There exist no 200 Watt Pointers , perhaps 200mW Pointers , that is 0,2 Watt. So you can burn every thing with a 8-16 Watt = 8000mW - 16.000mW Lasers. If you put a human in the laserline in front of the laser the beam will cut a hole in the human. So in Germany you can use this lasers only with the approval from the state and must be a "Laserschutzbeauftragter" So long. Oliver
