This deity, Dorje Shugden is the same nature as Je Tsongkhapa they are the same person performing different functions. Many Dorje Shugden sadhanas state that Dorje Shugden is the embodiment of the Guru, Yidam, and Protector, where Guru refers specifically to Lama Tsongkhapa.

So, do we keep guru samaya by following DL's instructions? Do we break guru samaya by keeping our vows to DS?

I do often agree with what theredniece says in her comments and we haunt the same sites, as do you, but im sure there are more people i agree with too. i'm a happy dorje shugden practitioner - i don't wish to convert anyone to be a dorje shugden practitioner, but i would like to share a message of peace & respect to all.

Cultural and religious harmony with an exception: Dorje Shugden practitioners. Persecution towards Dorje Shugden's practitioners everywhere in Tibetan monasteries and community, practitioners are outcast, monks are divided, the holy Gaden Monastery and Sera Monastery have to be divided because of Shugden issue, friends become enemies...what harmony? why this exception?
