  • In places this story is reminiscent of the movie Alien.

  • @rojblake82 But you must admit, the soundtrack is one of the best ever made. It sounds like it's been grown rather than played, it's so atmospheric, like something between sound effects and music. Malcolm Clark is a true genius. It's got to be said every once in a while, cuz lesser composers (no names) are constantly being praised for just mediocre scores.

  • The whole point to Earthshock is that the Cybermen are a surprise and the whole point of a next time trailer is to spoil the surprise. Earthshock rocks, next time trailers are s***.

  • @RedheadDane I think Earthshock is a bloody, depressing story for the Cybermen it also kills off a regular character Adric bloody shame, I found Adric's demise several billions of times more dramatic than Gan's demise in Blake's sevens episode Pressure Point. Adric was a teenage lad compared to Gan who was a grown man, I found Tomb of the Cybermen several billion times better than Earthshock which is depressing compared to the sixties Cybermen serials which are much more fun. I like Tomb best.

  • I think the cybermen in Earthshock were not, as menacing as in the 60s cyberstories like the Tenth Planet, the Moonbase, Tomb of the Cybermen, the Wheel in Space and the Invasion which were fun and not violent like Earthshock was. I think the cybermen were not as scary in the one 70s story they did Revenge of the Cybermen, or in the 80s stories Earthshock, Attack of the Cyberemen and Silver Nemesis. The Cybermen of the 60s were much better prtrayed in every way, and the voices were more scary .

  • that was awesome :D

  • @biggerbaddaddy

You're welcome! ☺ And... thanks for sorting that out!
