I did read the bill. All you did was reiterate what I stated, somehow citing a conclusion that was not congruent with the statement. Yes, you will be taxed if you don't have healthcare. I support that greatly, as should ALL conservatives who do not wish freeloaders to leech off of those who do their part to pay their own way.
Anyway, as stated, you will not be sent to jail for not having healthcare. You will be sent to jail for not paying taxes. It's a rather simple concept.
-
Check out page 297 of this bill. If you do not have acceptable healthcare they will impose a tax on you.
Oh yea, what happens when you don't pay a tax, YOU GO TO JAIL!
You need to understand THE ENTIRE THING before you talk about it.

A lot of Attorney Generals are already preparing to take this to the Supreme Court. You cannot MAKE people buy a consumer product that they either don't need, don't want, or can't afford. How can you even agree with that and call yourself anything other than a Socialist?
People need water and food to live a lot more than they need healthcare. Let's mandate that everyone MUST buy food and water and pay rent to live somewhere or we are going to tax them.
You see how stupid that sounds!

She gave them the nickname death panel. Basically it is just you meeting with your doctor about the end of your life and preparing for it. In the original healthcare bill they were going to make this a mandatory thing and that is why everyone was so upset. I believe that it was going to be more than one doctor but am not sure. The last person that I need telling me how to run my life is some bureaucrat!
-
In other words you need to watch this again. He said that the companies were told not to tell the customers how the bill would impact them. If the government tells you what you can tell your customers and what you can post on your web site about a bill THAT HAS NOT EVEN PAST then yes that would be a gag order. And telling the customer how this bill will effect their coverage is not lying, is it?
-
She never said the legislation had death panels. She was speaking of the logic conclusion of OBAMA care being death panels. The point being that end-of-life counseling should not come from the people who will have to pay the bills.
-
Actually, she did. Multiple times. Here's one quote:
The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down syndrome will have to stand in front of Obamas death panel so his bureaucrats can decide..." - Sarah Palin, August 2009
She also spoke of "Obama Death Panels" in multiple speeches, and continues to regularly refer to end-of-life consultation as death-panels. (And despite her insurance plan offering it, her Downs Syndrome baby never faced a "death panel")
-
Actually, Palin never said there was death panels in the bill. She only speculated about their possibility in a future where the government controls healthcare.
-
I know because I read the bill. The most popular lie was about death panels and has been proven as a lie multiple times. The more current lie is that if you don't get government insurance, you will be sentenced to five years in jail. This is also a lie. For the facts on that lie, reference:
H.R. 3962 - Title 5, Subtitle A (Proposed Revision to Internal Revenue Code of 1986)
The section can be found on page 296, line 6.
...but you already read the bill, so you know this...right?
Terrifying. Wake up America and defend the Constitution

Every health insurance company in America needs to tell their customers what they think about this "reform", whether they agree with the legislation or not. We need to let the government know this is OUR country and it's FREE, bought and paid for by our soldiers blood. They can't take away our freedoms without a fight.
