@grayrahiem Actually, that Thor thing was quite disrespectful. Heimdallr is the whitest of the Norse gods in Norse Mythology, and casting him as an African makes little sense. Not to mention it's offensive to the modern day Odinists/Pagans.
Imagine this. You have a film about slavery, its horrors, how terrible it was. But you make all the slaves white guys. Would that be interesting to watch? It's historically inaccurate, and just makes no sense at all.

@grayrahiem roles like that don't require u to be a certain race! Some roles do and some roles don't! All middle age fantasy movies don't require one race to be in the movie.

@Vengrence Should all fantasy middle age movies only be cast with white europeans? I have to disagree on that man. Look at how racist is still today. In the movie Thor, people(whites) tried to boycott the movie simply cause a black guy was playing the character hendal(probably spelled wrong). I never knew about the character before the movie, but when i went to see it i couldnt understand why they were upset. He did an awesome job playing that character. mad cause he wasnt white though.

@Vengrence historical fantasy movies are always made up of european or white americans and thats is totally fine. If lord of the rings had a black actor as one of the major character in it and that actor brought that character to life, most people wouldn't care about his skin color. for instance what if they cast Idris elba..a black guy who was born in England which is in Europe. Therefor making him European..should he not be cast simply cause of his skin color..he is european?

@grayrahiem Understandable, but sometimes diversity makes very little sense in a setting. I saw this historical fantasy set in the European middle ages, and they had Africans and Asians in it. It ruined the entire film for me, because it broke the entire immersion factor. I would rather have a film make sense, rather than just be about diversity.

@Vengrence I'm not calling the movie racist at all! I would like to see more diverse characters have a voice in the big budget adventure movies.
Sounds like he's bragging.

After seeing this (in the actual movie), I thought of this quote every time a black person popped up in all the following movies. :D
