  • thumbs up if u knew his real name:D.... Charles Hardin Holley

  • @tikamajere316 Listen to the structure of his songs. Reminds me of an arrangement you would hear on a Ramones record.

  • @Phalanx3800 I have made that argument many times in my life :)

  • Buddy Holly was the first Punk Rocker.

  • Since I'm 13 and I don't listen to the same modern music as my friends they always make fun of me for liking this song ._.

  • Buddy rockin. Hahaha. RIP.

  • I like that solo he does, Ed Sullivan made it real hard for Buddy to play this which is the reason for the low sound in the guitar and the dark lighting he still done an awesome job. Ed Sullivan didn't want him to play Oh Boy but Buddy wanted to and did.

  • whoever dislikes this should be ashamed of themselves

  • SON-OF-GUN; JUST MADE IT!!! In 1958 "Oh, Boy" peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 20 weeks in the Top 100...

    The B/side of this 45 RPM record was "Not Fade Away", which has been covered by many artists over the years....

    Covered by the British group "Mud"; it peaked at No. 1 {for 2 weeks} on the U'K. charts in May 1975 {this was a cappella version}
