  • @mao1790 I concur, Walter Hawkins has written many songs that are theologically sound , socially relevant and ultimately inspiring to the true believer. There are times when I want to tear another individuals head off and the holy spirit just arrests' my inner man and causes a peace that passes my understanding. Thank you Jesus!

  • Oh yes! I had never heard a song like this until 2010 on the radio after church. The song gives me an explanation when I feel deep inside of me. I'm not going to play like the song is a joke. It is for real. I said "Whatever it is" a couple of times when something motivates me to live, treat others, and be born again peacefully. Thanks for posting the song. One day, I'll learn how to play on the keyboard and/or piano.

  • What, can I say, all of the Hawkins Singers classic I love them all.

  • Love it everytime I hear it will always be a favorite of mine...

  • Thank you Hawkins family, you've been encouraging me for years and, you always will.

  • "Makes me do rite when I would do wrong, What is this?"

  • My My My....I so often sing this song and always wanted a young lady to sing it with me. Well... this morning my coworker who has a heavenly voice sang this song with me . She didn't see it but I was overcome. Walter Hawkins RIP.

  • Oh, I love this song. Its speaking my feelings right now. I've been playing it all day. I want to get my friends together to sing it in church. Such a blessing in song.

  • Aw does this bring back memories... I was a young licentiate minister at a church which held at the max 100 souls. Had the perm, the stach, and sang this song. It was difficult to finish, for I sang it with conviction, and would be overcome with "what is this?"

  • @bdscorpio1

God Bless you...I will be praying for you and keep that song in your heart!
