heres the thing....weber is a good coach..bad recruiter...Zook is a great recruiter..and a mediocre coach..hence the reason the year after Zook left florida they wona national championship with his players and a good coach...zook turned our football around but as for now hasnt kept it up...going 5-6 so far this year and very likely 5-7 he and the illini will have to step it up next year...which i think they will

2001 was a great team. they had a dynamic passing attack. moorehead was my favorite player.

The days of Illini Football will return. In the '08-'09 or '09-'10 seasons, they will be pretty good (like top fifteen). I'm happy that football's starting to get good again, but what's the deal with basketball? I thought I heard somewhere that they were supposed to be good in '09 or '10. After all, the U of I is definitely a basketball school.
