People commenting (complaining?) about her tempi should understand that tempo preferences had it's enigmatic dilemma since the days of Beethoven and Liszt. Hummel himself had been known to 'shred'. Were they wrong? If you're dogmatic, maybe. Licad was a protege taught by Rudolf Serkin himself and if you didn't know him, google him. I say beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, so there.

porqué esta mujer toca todo tan rápido?

Wonderful playing! Powerful, engaged, one of the most impressive readings, creative and fascinating!

If you dont like the way Cecile is interpreting the music, it is a matter of aesthetics and not that shes doing something "wrong". I really like her playing and i dont get your complex people. After all, we are just listeners and interpreters ourselves and not geaky scientists... You seem to ignore that! That is the true meaning of music.
Just one question: how can people, who think that way, appreciate not just Cecile 's music but any kind of music? Find yourselves another hobby you guys!

she did perform in carnagie hall?

is it a matter of who's more famous? horowitz is notoriously known as having a weird way of interpreting pieces that only "he" can do, but it doesn't follow that it's always right all the time. i think people fail to recognize this, but instead gawk at the "individuality-all-his-own" type of playing.

Different version than I am used to hearing! Very interesting!

what's your problem lokopiano with this girl or Tiklado, lol, ?
Wasn't the purpose of the Busoni transcription to make this piece even more challenging for the pianist?

Mostly not. If you play or listen to all of Busoni's transcriptions, they are rich in sonority to the point of imitating orchestral nuances, as well as making it more pianistic without sacrificing the original score. As a result it could either be more difficult or effective in the overall. Busoni was both an outstanding pianist of the highest order, as well as a composer who influenced alot of his contempararies.
