Bethel Kids Sing with Heatherlyn at the Cultural Center, Alaska Tour

I hope this delights you as much as it sweetened my day when I found it! We are singing my song "We Have a Dream" and Jack Johnson's song "With My Own Two Hands." When we visited Bethel, Alaska, we were able to dwell in the community for a few days, so we had already encountered these young people in a couple other contexts, including their elementary school, leading up to the community concert. They were so eager and excited to sing together, to share these songs with everyone gathered. It seems like some of the best concerts we do are the all ages ones. =)

People from all varying segments of the community had come together to the Cultural Center for some good music; homemade treats and coffee; and to support the locally based Kids in the Kitchen, a program creatively addressing hunger issues by empowering young people with basic cooking skills.

The people of Bethel really welcomed us and treated me like a star. And everywhere I looked, I saw stellar individuals and teams living to make their community and our world a brighter place. Thanks for the good times, Bethel, AK. Hope to see you again soon! =)
