@physchohead24 Once you are entered in the slip you hit the gas on reverse about 2/3 of its power and that will make you come to a full stop

@physchohead24 just release on the gas and put it into reverse a bit to make it into a clean stop

And how do you keep the bow from slamming into the dock?

not sure about the X rope idea. what if there are no ropes? ever pulled into a transient slip? with that said the video shows docking under the most ideal conditions. hard to screw up with so much room and no wind or current.

lmao. Find the 4 pilings at your slip, dock, whatever. Secure a rope onto each. Now, tie the two other ends onto the Opposite front pilings. Make an X with the ropes. Enter your slip at a no-wake speed. ha ha The ropes will line your boat right the fuck up the middle of your slip. Simple as that.

You can only go that slowly when theres next to no wind though. In reality your going to have to go faster most the time to maintain positive steerage.

this is not good practice!! how about transits . how about crew positions how about generic things such as nwind directio strength and tide etc!

Too bad the clip doesn't show that actually docking. I wonder what went wrong.
