Besides the Hips write fantastic deep tunes and the melody evolves, and Greg is a great guitarist as is Blum who is the only person who can play tasty notes without proper blues method. @butch93105 Yeah, they know nothing of harmony. Have you taken a good look at what this band has done both acoustically and as a rock act; not to mention the side stuff Bluhm has produced? There is some really amazing work out there. I’ve been to about 60 Hips shows since 1996 and I’ve only smoked pot at one show and that was my second show back in 1996. I prefer a good single malt anyway. ;-)
