What looks like laughter to us is actually their expression of fear to each other, they are hugging each other for reassurance.

@xgotfiveonitx No, you misunderstand. What looks like a smile to us is in fact an expression of fear and surrender to a Chimp. these animals are in a strange new environment, they are looking at their new surroundings and also looking for predators.They don't know what to expect, so their survival instinct is in charge. Basically, they are frightened. Do some research and you will see what I see.
