  • nice video. just got a 3000 with two or three soft buttons. most important thing missing from video though....what is the part # for the tact switches for the 3000? i only see tacts with 4 posts. the one i found with 2 mouser says is obsolete...did some searching around and the common specs i keep seeing are 6x6x5mm 5mA@ 12v w 160gf. i found a lot with those specs, but the only 5mm ones i keep finding have 4 posts on the four corners and look like they wouldnt fit the board. any other place tha

  • Omron part B3F-6022.

  • Do a search on Mouser for that part number

  • @mrk1230 Big ups 2u man...I did come across that one in my search on some electronics blog some guy who fixes roland gear said he had heard was the closest to tge skhvbed010, but he mentioned that the omron's were hit or miss.

    I guess you've had no problem with them in the 3000 so maybe its just Roland gear they may or may not work in...

  • @wakko1999 , yeah I got ahold of the ALPS switches before they were discontinued, no history with the Omron's but I don't see why they wouldn't work..maybe it's just that they don't hold up? Anyway, good luck!

  • Thanks your guide helped give me the confidence to replace all the tact switches on my MP and now I have my 16 levels function & my A Bank buttons back .

  • spray some wd-40 on the tact switch and skip all this

    This is not wack, the definition of pro just means that someone makes a living by doing something. This is a really good guide I think. Especially the way the beer comes before the soldering iron in the list of kit you will need! Nice one mrk1230!

My mpc1k's Mode button broke like 2 years ago and i've been assed out , tryin to find a software with a similar workflow as a mpc (unsuccessfully) till i found ur vid, just got my button in the mail today , follow ur instructions exactly , same radio shack gear and all and BAm!, its workin again! MaD PROPS HOMIE!
