Boom I need to take advantage of it.

Brothers, all these moves work and like all moves are subject to timing and mistakes on part of the person fighting spider. If you are fighting Romulo Barral, none of these are going to work, if you are fighting someone else that has a weak spider guard, they work just fine, I've used them all at one time or another, and no they do not work every time, but what one move does?

I have "a couple" of questions regarding pass #2:
1)Does it have a name?
3)You grab at the shin/far down on pants, I grab at the knees. My grip sometimes gets me in leg lasso:/ But knees are easier to control sideways. What do you think is the best grip: by the shin or knee?
3) Is there a variation where you either try to push the legs away(to opponents left side) or down on the mat towards you? Can you please explain details on the pass and its variations?
Thanks for uploading!

This worked a treat for me during my last session. Thanks for sharing!

not a good thing ken to grab by jiu-jitsu suit because its not a realistic interpretation of on the streets

So im guessing 2/3 of those techniques wouldn't work if you were fighting in MMA, they dont have long pants on.... defeating the purpose, if you grab their calf, you wouldnt have a good grip on it.

What makes the guy on bottom unlock his feet? Can't he just keep them crossed?
I really like the concept here and thanks for the idea that we should be separating each contact for the open guard to avoid these passes but I have a problem. We tried these passes and they are very difficult to make work if the other guy is using good pressure with his feet. I mean it is just not easy to move his legs around like you did in your clip. Any tips? Cheers.

Best advice I can give. If you are ever in delaware stop by or show a vid clip so I can see exactly what you are talking about.
