Recorded at Innerspace Sound Labs during the "Dixon Sessions" for Dixon Drums, drummer Jason Labbe provided some great solo work getting a groove going on the Demon set. He swapped out the snare for one of Dixon's aluminum snares to fit his style. This is a behind the scenes look at an impromptu moment of the day. Also in the video is recording engineer Scott Amore and Jim Stanek product manager for Dixon Drums.
Jason says "I'm not dedicated to a single band right now, but I've performed and/or recorded with Charles Burst, Latitude/Longitude, Weigh Down, Enoch Kane, the Wagon Riders, Jim Aveni, MT Bearington, and others."
We recorded more videos with Jason and will be uploading them soon. So don't forget to subscribe to our channel so that you know when we uploaded them. thks for watching and let us know what yo think in the comments below.

  • playing is solid, not the HUGEST fan of the kit sound tho.. sounds a little sharpish/ringy, but I am known to like my drums to be a little lower and airy, with a tighter snare.

    Just my thoughts! Cheers!

  • @BennyandtheDRUMMER Thanks Alex for watching the vid. Jason is an awesome drummer and we kind of put him on the spot that day. In regards to the sound of the video I'm wondering if you played it in HD format or regular 360p. I agree that the sound is very "ringy" in the 360 format. Not sure what happened in the upload to cause that. if you get a chance plz watch in HD and let me know what you think. Thx!

  • How can i find out more about Dixon? Are you a division of Dixon Ticonderoga?there was a power equiptment company by that name years ago.Did you buy the Magnum brand of Drums?Dixons sure sound awesome but did not get to hear a tom tom roll.Could Jason post one for me?Thanks!Brainy at BMSS

  • This is a WILD groove.

  • Why would you post a video of your drums with such poor sound quality. Your fired!!!

  • WOW! These drums sound superb. So much attack! Also, I'm a huge fan of your steel shell snares. I play drums in a band and I always needed a kit that looked good for shows, and sounded even better. I've actually been looking for a new drum kit, and I think I just found it!
