I love in these films how they look at the speedo and its only doing 40, so they change gear, but it always seems like they dont realise that they have to do it in order to go faster.

@coolcars2323 it is possible, once the spoiler is off which is their to produce down force. the aerodynamics of the car cannot keep it on the ground so it can indeed flip

@coolcars2323 it's happened a few times in a real race, for example a few years ago (le mans 1999), a mercedes clr-gt1 car took of just like that, backflipped a few times and dropped down an embankment next to the track. Don't take my word for it, theres a number of videos of it happening for reals.
