@JimKitzmiller How come this works? I have visited this video for YEARS now (2 at least) and this video seems to work among the best Ive seen.
What has been put in this video to be effective? Half the time Im not really listening to what your saying yet I feel like I react positivly anyway..

@wagz420 nearing 2 years by now? :) congratulations wagz.

@superabdoulworld But that's just my opinion. I'm no expert.

@superabdoulworld I think that if you try something less centered around yourself you might find some better results. That seems like the very thing that you DON'T want to be doing while public speaking. Beforehand that may be alright, but during your talk you want to focus your energy on what your saying. You want to focus on how you can relate your opinion to an understanding that will reach your peers. Control what you think. Control the energy OUTWARDS while projecting your voice. Breathe.

@superabdoulworld (continued)...like water, smooth and feeling the air running over your lips. Try maintain this concentration on your breath even after meditation, so when you are making a cup of tea, try and maintain this peacefulness you have attained through your meditation and stay in the moment without getting lost in daydream or thought. You can reach a point of complete awareness where you are aware almost every second of every day, so peaceful, so happy. It's an amazing feeling! : )

@superabdoulworld - Sorry for slow reply, just saw your message now. Thats great that it's working for you! Make sure to keep it up regularely (the Meditation that is). Also, the slow breathing is 1 of the most important aspects of meditation. Once you get used to breathing in deeply and slowly, holding for a second or two, then breathing out slowly and fully, you should feel like you are 'surfing waves of silk with your breath' (as the way I describe it). Don't force the breath, let it flow...

@superabdoulworld each time you get nerous just repeat observering with out being lost in the feelings, just become a silent watcher
ok I have no problem observing myself now but when I have to go to class I get sooo nervous I have a fear of talking in class. I try to observe myself in that situation but it doesnt work, I fear my voice will sound weird and Ill look foolish it really gets out of control. Can someone help me on that?

@superabdoulworld You can practice observing your self while speaking in front of a (mirror OR pet OR friend). Later you can do the same while DELIBERATELY sounding weird and looking foolish. Do it until you feel really good.

This was very interesting - not very knowledgeable about meditation but looking forward to making it a regular part of life. That said, I found it odd that I listened to exactly 12 seconds of this video (at first lol. I eventually pressed play to listen to the rest - had to let it load, is all) and zoned out, it felt like I was floating. lol Don't know what it was but I did enjoy the entirety of this video. Thanks for making it! :D
