Hello again, I'm converting my mp9 tki 2 to electric as well, had enough of nitro. Mate it's in the works, I have a tekin 2650
Motor with rx8 coming from a main hobbies. I'm going to run 2 x 2a lipo that are 90c, ridiculous I know, they are 5500mah. How long to you guess they will run until low? 10 minutes? 15 mins?

@HeliDragon510 The most important thing at races is, to make as little as possible mistakes or crashes. and it's so helpfull to drive concentrated, precise and not very aggressive. Because if you have a crash, it takes more time than driving slowly. And you can be sure, the others will make a mistake and than you can overtake them.
I always try to exert much pressure to the guy before me, and than he will make a mistake!
you have to take part in races and than you will see, you are not so bad!

@Homer9x9 Hey man thanks so much for the comment. It was my first time on a track with an 8th scale buggy. I try and be as precise as possible and make sure to always look ahead. With 8th scale I am not sure I will ever be aggressive enough. I am too cautious in races. This works fairly well with my Kyosho Ultima RB5 RWD buggy in races and especially track days. Less broken parts.

if it is really you first time on a track, than you have a lot of talent and you will see, with a bit of training you might be very good at races.
I recently took my MP9 TKI2e out to norcal hobbies for Christmas break. Wow that car handled great. Kevin Jelich happened to be working at the track at the time and was trying out everybody's car including the 1/5scale losi sc that somebody brought. He drove mine and just couldn't flip the thing. He, like most other people who drive the mp9 was impressed with the handling.
Went back to San Diego after the break and drove it once at SDRC and it still handles like its on rails. Great Car!

@timsk Hey I have been DYING to try the new 8th scale track. My old MP9 started its life as a Nitro and the guy who had it before me converted it to electric. I just have not had the chance to get out to NorCal. Its annoying too because I only like like 2 miles away. Glad you are loving your TKI2e. As much as I love my MP9 I bet the newer versions are even better and more durable. Thanks for the great comment! - J

Hi again, what cover is that? It goes not look like a mp9e cover cause the windows are different? Is it just a stock cover for mp9?
Great buggy man, still given it a bash often?

@Lincoln1704 - Thanks man. It is the newer style of the Inferno MP9 Nitro body. Sadly the sides were still not tall enough to fit over the huge battery. I have purchased a proper MP9e body and it sits unpainted in a bag. I have not had much time for RC this year. But hope to get back into it regularly this summer. Cheers and happy driving!
