when you are mixing the guitar, I understand you make two tracks and pan them left and right. Do you mix both of them the same generally? and if you want them both the same do you just mix one, then duplicate it and copy and paste? or do you have to mix both...

This is great stuff! You really know your stuff! I followed you and my mix is sounding SO much better.

I was wondering how to make a real sounding drum track in garage band similar to this. I have iDrum but all the sounds are similar to dance music and I don't know if its good to sequence one and midi drop it or bang it out on the keyboard? can anyone help? I just don't know the best way to make a drum track that loops/flows well and the best way of making one.

@VcookiemonsterV Check out EZdrummer, it is your best bet for good sounding/inexpensive drum samples. And yes, I have a video about it.

@stud7899 The answer is no. But if you do a search for my video called "Is Garageband only for the Mac?" and then read the comments, you will find a lot of suggestions for PC based programs that are similar.

Does anyone know how to get an acoustic sound out of an electric guitar that is plugged into my Mac using garageband?
mmmaxmmm83 1 year ago
@mmmaxmmm83 That's pretty close to impossible. Even an electric/acoustic guitar has an under the saddle pickup which sounds dramatically different than an electric guitars magnetic pickups.
Sorry, but besides just putting a microphone on the electric guitar body and recording that; there isn't anyway to do what you're asking.
Maybe try going for a warm & thick jazz sound.
