Day 1:
- Arrived and took 2 hours to tube to Tuting Broadway because of communication difficulties and braking safety checks.
- Went to the Selkirk Pub for fish & chips
- crashed at 9:30 GMT and slept for over 12 hours after being up for 28 hours straight
Day 2 (snow!!):
- walked around central London Oxford Circus to Bond St to Picadilly Circus to Leisester Square to Covent Garden and across the Waterloo bridge
- Lunch at Spaghetti House
- highlights: Nike Town, HMV, Hamleys, FootLocker, Lillywhites, saw Ripleys Believe it or Not museum
- Wispa Chocolate bar and Rubicon mango drink
- Circle Night at SGSU Bar
Day 3:
- Hungover in morning
- Tubed to London station, noticed London dungeon (to go back to on Saturday)
- walked across Tower Bridge
- Took tour of Tower of London: Crown Jewels, White tower, Henry VIII, Torture chambers and jail cells, archer posts
- walked back over London bridge
- first curry meal at night
Day 4:
- British Museum: got evacuated by a fire alarm
- tubed to Wimbledon then trained to Hampton Court Palace only to be told the maze was closed - new plan to come back on Sunday
- Disco night at SGU (basically regular old dance night)
Day 5:
- Went to London Dungeon: got hanging picture, played GH:3 arcade and failed Almost Easy, ate Pasty for lunch
- Strolled through Camden market: got Jack Bauer t-shirts, Iron Maiden Vynil LP; almost got AC/DC leather wallet
- went to King's Cross and saw and tried to get through Platform 9 3/4's; St Pancras and saw Eurostar
- walked through Oxford more
Day 6:
- went back to Hampton Court Palace and took the audio guide tour
- traversed the hedge maze; saw some gardens
- went to Mitchell's field hockey game: St George's vs Imperial (2-2 tie)
- Round table man-of-the-match and dick-of-the-match awards at bar afterward
Day 7:
- went to Westminster Cathedral, followed the steps to Jesus' death and prayed a little at one of the chapels
- went to Westminster Abbey, took audio tour - notable death guys buried: Geoffrey Chaucer, Isaac Newton, Charles Darwin, Unknown WWI soldier
favorite part: WWII memorial complete with hole in the wall from a bomb
- took some pictures of the Houses of Parliament
- Listen to Big Ben strike 3 pm
- checked out Buckingham Palace then walked up Hyde Park to Marble Arch then east across central London once more
- Lined up for MYA but it filled up, headed to The Casino at the Empire instead - won 30 pounds in Black Jack
Day 8:
- was late for Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (11am), but it may not have even happen since it only goes every other day in the winter
- checked out the Science Museum
- watched MNC vs MNU
Day 9:
- packed
Big Ben is beautiful. I want to move there so badly :(
