They also briefly discuss an AP photo of Julie and a blind girl, Chuck Colson's memo on Pat Nixon's recent trip, and a meeting of Republican governors. (NARA censors beeped the majority of the conversation out as "personal." All that was not beeped out is included here.)

What the heck could they possibly have annexed for "national security" in a conversation between Nixon and his daughter? There wasn't that much annexation in most of the Cuban Missile Crises tapes. Strange.

It wasn't censored because of National Security, but for "privacy."

I've always liked Julie Nixon Eisenhower. I was never a Nixon fan, but she defended her father with such poise and dignity that you had to respect her. She was always the intelligent one of Nixon's daughter.
