http://video.acousticlongisland.com-- "Listen hard" as Howard Emerson says during the show -- and your ears will thank you for it. Not only are his songs technically perfect and a joy to listen to, but his simple melodies will hook you for the entire set. Some background on Emerson: he's toured with folk legend Eric Andersen, opened for names like Dion and David Bromberg, was a member of the Billy Joel band in the early 70s, and has even been a "touring clinician" for the C.F. Martin Company. For more, visit www.howardemerson.com. VIDEO Podcast also available! video.acousticlongisland.com or iTunes. Produced by Dave & Rob Dircks.
I met Howard when I used to walk my twin boys through his neighborhood back in 2004/2005. He was quite gracious, and provided me a copy of "A Tale To Tell", which is a gem. I later purchased, "Crossing Crystal Lake". Anyway, I lost touch with him, but Howard is a joy to listen to. Wished I stayed in touch with him. I moved from LI 3 years back, and really haven't gone back. Best to you Howard.

Hi RaggedTime,
Thank you so much for kind words! Brain-freeze did take hold toward the end, but if you've never heard my original recording (on my 'A Tale To Tell'cd)then you wouldn't know!
At least the sound man got the sound together for CCL, but it's pretty bad at the start of the video....
Shalom,

The bottleneck tune was really amazing, I'm always waiting to hear that inventive, un-corny bottleneck or slide song and once in a while it comes.
I also like "Crossing Crystal Lake" from the end, too shame it's cut in the middle.

Howard,
Just saw this clip. Great as always! Been awhile since we spoke, and was on vacation when you did this show. Look forward to hearing from you, as your videos made there way into my favorites. I miss the lessons!
