This was shot from my front porch. I noticed some funny looking clouds when I was looking through my kitchen window and went to the porch and got this footage. Keep watching and you'll see it drop and split different ways!!! The moment that has changed lives forever!

When it was all over,I remember riding with dad to go to Rainsville and you never seen pitch black driving down the road 'cuz of the street lights. The only lights in Rainsville were the rescue lights from firetrucks and whatnot...

Simply incredible. I'll chase for the rest of my life and probably never see something so intense and photogenic. Very unfortunate about all of the damage, though, always hate hearing about lives being destroyed.

I pray every day that I never see something like that in person. I can't even imagine how terrifying it would be to see that and realize it's coming at you!

We're coming up on the one year anniversary in a couple months of the tornado here in Rainsville. It goes without saying, but I hope I never see another one. There is an absence of so much here...the people we lost, the houses that are gone (so many around us here at our house), the trees and other natural foliage...the only thing that remains plenty of is a path...you look and you can still see the path! I'll be so glad when more buildings are back and some of the trees have grown back.

did it hit youre location?

By the grace of God, it did not. Beside our house where my mother in law lives it destroyed her chicken house and barn. Behind the barn, my brother in laws house was destroyed. Behind our house there was 1 house standing and one destroyed in which a woman died. After this we tried to get to brother in laws house and were stopped by a man whose house had been destroyed...he couldn't find his family. found 1 under debris, 2 in the field (1 of which died while I was there), that's a long story!
