EDIT: Yeah, the asteroid has passed. Guess what? TU24(dot)org is still freaking out about it. The threat level displayed on their site is "SEVERE RISK". Yep, the internet is full of loonies.

Whoever comes up with these things must not have an education. or has too much time. asteroids dont have a charge for christ's sakes... the tunguska event was caused by (at least according to available theories) an object superheated in the earth's atmosphere exploding before hitting the ground.

try throwing an ice cube into boiling hot water and watch it bust apart. same concept. im not even going to finish watching this....

Actually sun spots and solar flares have caused more damage. It interferes with communications here on Earth. The solar flares should peak in late 2012. They may possibly take out satallite communications.

The Tunguska Event leveled the trees over an area the size of London and New York combined. Not saying the tu24 thing was a possibility, never actually heard of it before this video.... but yeh if you're into this stuff check it out it's pretty sick!

@gunluva Apophus, it's the name given to the large meteor that should be passing close by around 2014 or so and then have a possible return in the 2030s. They say the rock would get so close that you'd definitely see it with the naked eye passing and then with the return theory (Earth's gravitational pull affecting it's return trajectory) it could hit us a second time. Hence Apophus The God of Death.
