THE EMPIRE STATE SUITE • SANFORD H. CALHOUN HIGH SCHOOL CHOIR

The 1975 Sanford H. Calhoun High School Choir (S. Talbot Thayer, Director) performs THE EMPIRE STATE SUITE, by Arthur Frackenpohl. THE EMPIRE STATE SUITE was a generous gift by the Calhoun Choir Alumni, and was commissioned in October, 1974 on the occasion of the choir's European tour in July of 1975. The trip was called VIVERO (an acronym for Vienna, Venice & Rome). The world premier performance of this work was given on May 22, 1975 at the Sanford H. Calhoun High School Spring Concert.
