  • Who 'dictates' to the Credit-worthiness institutions as to what rating they will give to the countries in the EU? As long as they are perpetuating the myth of credit-rating, they continue to get away with their rip-off game. It has been this way for decades, only now the stakes are enormous and the cliff is in plain sight. How DO they sleep at night?

  • I know. My point is that they are taking turns to fall. If you put carry trades and stock markets asside they are ALL falling in value when priced in (inflation adjusted, non-maipulated) commodoties.

The most important thing we must all know is why they are falling and how we can protect ourselves against it. It would also be wise to research who is likely to come out of the other end ahead of this daft monetised race to the bottom. This game can't last forever, China knows this!.

  • Also unlike the dollar, which will (for the moment anyway) always have some demand propping it up as it is required to buy commodities such as oil from Opec, the Euro doesn't have anything. Tourism maybe?

  • @ShillBasher

If the European economy is in decline, the Euro will be a less attractive currency for foreign investors to buy on the FOREX market. Thus a fall in demand will cause the value of the Euro to decline. All currencies are depreciating in value, but I think this video is saying it will depreciate more than other currencies. You can think of it this way. All currencies are in decline measured against commodities, and the euro is in further decline measured against other currencies.
