I really hate how everybody is making fun of Ryan. I mean ,you are all people who just got brave behind a screen. He is not stupid,he just has terrible communication skills. That certainly does not make him stupid. He has 5 medals,some gold ,and im pretty proud to have him as an American ,he did very well for a first timer,thank you.And UF is a pretty prestigious school ,with very well branches of education. He may be a litlle slow,but he is new to this. Give him a break ,and dont judge.

@Sara Hilliard erm you know he competed in the 2004 and 2008 olympics also. And he probably only got into UF because of swimming obviously, not cause of his grades

i have yet to find an interview of him that is that bad, or where his speech and word choice exude "stupidity" rather than nerves.

He's gifted in looks, muscles, and athleticism... but brains not so much. We can't have everything.

He may not be eloquent but his answers are honest. Simple but honest.
