This is a song I got from an old tape of ideas. For the chorus I said "chorus, chorus". I replaced it with "for it, for it"- For Love

But when she decided to tell him all about the way she really felt
She felt herself fall into hell when he told her that he loved somebody else
And so then what did she do but sit around just hoping that her love wasn't true?
While all the while she knew that if she harbored such a hope they'd never be one, but two.

She wanted a victory for love but all she did was end up starting a war
With the very one that she loved and so she had to ask herself what for.

The harder she tried to hold on the more she felt her love begin to fade
The more she hoped she was right and he wrong, the more she felt her love displaced by hate.
And so knowing her love would die she let go of the tenacious grip of her heart
And decided she'd rather say goodbye tan to watch it be totally torn apart

For it for it
She let go of her love before she tore it. For love

I'm back listening to this song and realizing that

I would never want to hear anyone else venture it -- they couldn't possibly compare! It's like Peggy singing FEVER or Bobbie's ODE TO BILLY JOE or Vicki Lawrence with her single: The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia.

I just hope you can match this yourself! LOL! :)

Seriously, this song runs through my head even on days when I don't watch your vid! I just see it as a major hit. And you could perform it live because of your incredible vocal range and control. Like Loreena McKennitt, whose Mummer's Dance is also haunting and addictive. I'm typically a listener of instrumental music only. So you're one of a limited number of exceptions: Ella, Peggy, Julie, Enya, Loreena, Candace, and now Maureen! (oops, Astrud and Lani! Mustn't forget my Bossa beauties!) :)
