Keith Ikaia-Purdy sings Rodolfo's aria "Che gelida manina" from Puccinii's "La Bohème" - by the way, in the original key with a splendid top c - not transposed as many of his famous colleagues...

heard Keith Ikaia-Purdy's Rodolfo at Opera San Jose (California) before he left for Europe and study with Carlo Bergonzi. Wish he would return to the West Coast.

This makes me think of my all-time favorite Bergonzi. He makes it look and sound easy. My husband and I just read his homepage - No surprise, Bergonzi is an idol of his. My husband marvels at the "morbidezza", a style few tenors choose after Pavarotti. Very nice.

A wonderful performance of one of my favorite arias. I actually had goosebumps at the end. Thanks for posting this!

Wonderful, but I feel he shouts a bit too much. A little too dark and monodynamic for my tastes, but a very nice voice nonetheless!
