Matthew Gagnon of Pine Tree Politics interviews state Senator Peter Mills, candidate for Governor of Maine in 2010. This segment is on the recently passed Equal Marriage legislation, which would legalize same-sex marriage in the state of Maine. Mills pledges to vote to uphold the bill at the ballot box in November.
I predict Mills will not ascend to the governership in Maine. This video will live to haunt him and any campaign for governer. Courageous or not, he's on the wrong side of this issue.

If Republicans were allowed to think sensibly rather than side solely with the fundamentalists, there'd be a lot more Republicans in this country.

Peter Mills is another great example of a person who stands behind his/her beliefs in the face of controversy. Thank you Peter Mills!
