  • Bird Is The Word.

  • the crane was a digital add in to cover up hte swinging munchkin body at the moment the body swings into the shot the crane extends it's wing. Think about it what the hell does a crane have to do with the woods? Why is it so big? Why is there only one? Look at the curve of the crane and how it fades back into the trees and seems to disappear. It only serves one purpose and it does the job they needed it to.

  • @andrelamarqjenkins No if you look throughout the movie, they had random animals on set to make it appear a real forest...whether they were forest worthy or not.

  • I went on a tour of sony pictures and was in the room where they filmed that. The woman who was showing us around was a friend of the family and said it was a set worker on the film who hung himself just to get his 15 minutes of fame and supposedly still haunts the studio.

  • @bigdaddyrico85 True, they give people the spooks, and there pretty creepy.

  • @ImmaManRay I know. I had to zoom into it to make sure but it is. At that particular moment, the bird opens up it's wings. That's what we're seeing. I love a ghost myth as much as the next guy.

  • @bigdaddyrico85

i could agree with that.It does make a good story though,I believe 3 men and a baby also, but We'll really never know about these "myths".It's hard to believe its a bird when it fades back in the woods, though.

  • @ImmaManRay Ok. Calm down. i can see that you've been attacked about this before. I wasn't attacking. Just pointing out. I believed the story too. Til I watched my dvd copy on my HD-DVD player on an HD tv. Found out it was the bird and was very disappointed. It's trifle to argue about this. If you want to believe it, go ahead. I know people who still believes the 3 Men and a Baby ghost when it's actually a cut out of Ted Dansen. The hanging Munchkin does make a good story though

  • @bigdaddyrico85 Ok,I give up.That's your opinion, but I have a different one.Watch the original one,if you want, make a video, but I still believe that a munchkin was hung.Oh,well Im not going to argue with you,so thats really it.I don't have the movie at home,so therefore I cant pay REALLY good attention to it when it's never on t.v.But,If that's how you feel I'm not going to waste time fighting with you about it.

  • @ImmaManRay Um.....no. If you REALLY paid attention to the movie, you'll see the bird earlier in the scene. He's standing next to the house. As for digitally editing it in? It's in every print of the film since 1939. I have the original home video release and it's there.

  • @89klk Why would there be a cran in the woods? Why only one? They edited it,notice how the bird fades back into the woods. It is supposed to cover the hanging body,It was supposed to be a joke but the guy fucked his not up and he accidently killed him self.

  • if you remember, there were a lot of exotic birds in that forest, a toucan is in a branch near dorothy at one point.
