  • Wow, nice camera lol

  • @wajalama Hand held HD camera are only good for... being hand held. They're not good for motion like this which is why I got rid of it for a GoProHD.

  • in japan mazda unos. in usa mazda miata. in uk mazda mx-5 why?

  • I think you'll find 200 at the wheels more like 238 at the flywheel.

  • @ravynx Don't know if alchohol or water injection is legal, likely not. But it's a question if I want to be totally CARB complaint so I don't have to mess with anything, start with a CARB approved system and use non-CARB ecu and cooling then switch back for inspection, or use whatever I want and return the car to stock for inspection and having to do that every two years. Or finding a smog tech that will pass my car regardless.

  • @turbo311 Nah, not at all the supercharger's fault. It was fun and made the Miata feel as fast if not slightly faster than my S2000. If you can't use an intercooler then you might want to look into either using the 6psi pulley (doesn't require an intercooler) or think about using methanol injection (washer fluid reservoir tank) in order to increase your boost safely without detonation (not sure if that's legal in Cali but worth a shot).

  • @ravynx Ok so it wasn't just the supercharger. I unfortunately live in California and this is one of the few CARB legal options, and technically the intercooler is not CARB legal with the Moss system. So, for that and other reasons like the CARB legal ECU's I'm debating.

  • @turbo311 Yeah, there was a front mount intercooler. It made no difference whether it be a stock radiator or a larger one; they both overheated with the thick FMIC (I tried out a 55mm Koyo rad and it didn't help at all). The main issue was the warped headgasket and poor ducting to the radiator. There are plenty of people that run big FMIC on their turbo setup with no airflow issues b/c they properly duct it to force air through it.

  • @ravynx Did you have an intercooler? That can be a double edged sword with a stock radiator. Makes the air from the supercharger cooler but blocks air going to the radiator.

  • how much dit it cost?
