You cannot dislike the truth people

Nah. The intro guitar is almost exactly the same. The riff is clearly inspired by Taurus. The rest of the song is fine though.

Apparently in the early daze LZ played a show with Spirit, and later did two (other) Spirit songs.
I wasn't aware of "In My Time of Dyin'" -- good god, to think they could get away with ripoffs of "obscure" old blues players is one level, but to imagine they could parrot BOB DYLAN and nobody would notice-- wtf were they THINKING? If there's any justice they'll be paying this off for the rest of their lives.

Poor Page & Plant- ya ought to at least get ORIGINAL songs in exchange for your soul! It cracks me up how embarrassing this is (or should be) for Jimmy and Robert! They obviously didn't consider future technology as a possible means of exposing them- it's easy to picture Page thinking "no one will ever hear these obscure old blues records- let's steal their songs because we can't write our own!" I used to respect Zep musically, but this is low even for them. Thanks for getting the facts out!
Again most of the songs are clearly stolen but Stairway to Heaven and Taurus no resenblance whatsoever maybe 3 seconds or less of the riff in the begining of Starway abd same with Custard Pie. To push the stolen theory in to these songs makes the maker of the documentary like a jealous Zep hater

@clashboy1977 Great investigating. I've always loved Zeppelin and now know what helped their cool, bluesy ass lyrics. I agree that credit should have been given- That's the proper thing to do, and it would NOT have made Zeppelin any less famous or successful- Might have made them even more famous amongst black people, probably would have enhanced the band's career a bit more, by honoring these earlier artists.
Page, Plant...do the right thing. Now we know. We still love you.
