@UkkoA There was no "slavery". There was just good government. I live in Bulgaria, a country which aspired to become a Soviet Socialist Republic, under Stalin. Stalin also agreed, yet he sadly, didn't live long enough for us to be able to fufil this. After that, we didn't get another opportunity. All leaders died before we could join the USSR, we then completeley abandoned this, when Gorbachov came to power, as we disagreed with both perestroika and glasnost.

@rimlanin, are you actually suggesting that being slaves to comrade Stalin's minions was in any way preferable to that of herr Hitler's minions? Hitler was a pathetic dilettante as compared to full-fledged murderer of nations like Stalin. You think peak is same thing as lowest pits? Read some books. Start with Solzhenitsyn. I'm from one of former Soviet Union's neighbor countries (only one never conquered by Stalin) and we know some things about slavery as seen from close distance.

@sakkorig Lenin's theory is the only one that has ever worked, works and will work. And the only one that ensures economic stability and equality. By this I mean the centrally-planned economy, not the state capitalism he used to transition to that. The transition was complete during Stalin's time.
