You have no idea how much I hate this battle. The damage these guys do and the status effects, yeah, really annoying! These creatures show up when the Balamb party (the party that didn't go to the Missle Base) come to warn the Garden and evacuate the people. You come to a chaotic Garden full of random Garden Master supporters that want to kill all Headmaster Cid supporters. So after finally navigating the Garden, taking down any monsters in the process, it's time to see Cid to see what can be done. You go into the basement of the Garden to run some sort of device that may or may not save the Garden from the arriving missles. Near the final mechanism to be functioned is where you encounter these guys. Being weak against Fire, Ifrit was the way to go. With the Ifrit summons and some curing, it was time to move to the mechanism. I recorded the scenes to follow to show some of the cooler cutscenes in the game. Enjoy!

  • Interesting, I never knew you could use Degenerator on them.

  • Oh yeah, this battle is fucking annoying. I died like two or three times before realizing Quistis can use degenerator on them lol.

  • Luckily Ifrit hurts these guys, don't want the battle to be longer than it should be.

  • Oh I remember those... Indeed, hate, with a passion. But Ifrit took em out pretty quick!
