A third man has been jailed for a violent and unprovoked assault on a soldier in June.
Daniel Moore, 22, of Lathkill Close, Bulwell, pleaded guilty to GBH and was jailed for three years and nine months for his part in an attack on a 19-year-old man in Nottingham on Sunday 5 June.
The victim was punched to the ground and then repeatedly kicked to the head by the three men as his fiancée attempted to shield him from the blows.
He suffered a broken jaw and injuries to his eye and has since made a full recovery.
Two other men, Aaron Winfield, 19, of Broxtowe Lane, Broxtowe, and Luke Stone, 21, of Cheviot Drive, Bulwell, have already been jailed in connection with the attack.
Winfield was sentenced to four years and Stone was jailed for four-and-a-half years.
DC Ian Holmes led the inquiry. He said: "The victim had been out for dinner with his fiancée when he was targeted by these individuals.
"The three cowardly men ganged up on him for no reason and the attack was entirely unprovoked - they had no respect for human life or that they could have caused catastrophic damage.
"His injuries were so severe that it was feared he may lose his sight, ending his career in the Army.
"Luckily he has made a full recovery and has returned to his regiment.
"Three dangerous individuals are now behind bars, where they will be unable to hurt anyone else."
Please be aware that some viewers may find the CCTV footage of this attack disturbing to watch.

It's a shame that he wasn't carrying his gun.
If you're not prepared to stand behind our soldiers, you aught to be made to stand in front of then....ready, aim, fire.
