  • My z3 1.9 had the same noise it's a leak on a vacuum hose that connects the Pcv and the Pcv valve. The Pcv valve is a black circular cap that is toward the back on the intake/driver side. Mine was next to the dipstick for reference... Just go up to autozone get some 5/8 in. vacuum hose and hose clamps and replace the hose. The noise may persist for a little bit if yours is obdII which it doesn't look like it's a 96 or newer... But that's just the ecu figuring things out. Good luck should cost 4
