All Souls church in Bolton

This short film documents the recent open day at All Souls church in Bolton. The church is due to undergo a transformation into a brand new community centre and the open day was an opportunity for local residents to experience this magnificent church and to provide their views on the plans for the building before the next stage bid is submitted to the Heritage Lottery Fund.

The day attracted over 400 people to All Souls, where they enjoyed a mix of entertainment and heritage related activities. The film has been made by the Media Trust, which is working in partnership with the Churches Conservation Trust to produce a number of films that show the revival of this church back into a central part of this community. We think it shows the genuine enthusiasm of local people for the project and it demonstrates how a redundant church like All Souls can become a centre of community activity once again.
